ellyjay asked: hi! a couple of weeks ago you did a grey nail with green bottoms. i was wondering what the green was called? its exactly the colour I've been looking for! thanks, elly :)
Do you mean these nails? The green is called Over the Top, from the Sephora Formula X collection! It’s so gorgeous and perfect for spring, I like it much more than mint green because it doesn’t make my hands go all lobstery!
I loooove these nails. I don’t do black and white designs enough, an I’ve tried this kind of fern-y design a couple times before but this is the first time it’s actually been worth sharing so yay!
Anonymous asked: What is your opinion of Sephora's formula x line? I've been scared to try any of it because I've heard mixed reviews, usually with criticism of the formula...
I have four different colors, and I really like them all. They’ve all been opaque in two coats (not sure about Over the Top because I’ve only used it in nail art so far though) and have non streaky formulas. I say try one out and see how you like it! They have some pretty interesting colors to choose from!
Pretty new colors from the Sephora Formula X collection! The grey is dynamic, and the green is over the top, both have great formulas
Aw yiss, geometric gradient. Please ignore the sad state of my fingertips (new job involves reaching into nearly boiling water several times an hour and it’s really doing a number on my hands) and instead focus on the pretty colors! I like this gradient with the lighter color at the tip, it’s opposite from how I usually do it!
It was a struggle getting this photo, but I managed it! And mowgli looks soooo happy too…
Here’s a little something something using two new polishes I acquired yesterday- that peachy base is Essie resort fling (gorgeous jelly formula a la turquoise and Caicos) and the muted coral orange is OPI toucan do it if you try. Such pretty colors perfect for spring!!
Anonymous asked: What would you say MVIB's soulmate is? I can't get over how good it looks with Sally Hansen Golden-I, but I'm wondering what your opinion is.
Every color? I really love it with orange-leaning corals though, like Butter London Jaffa or soft warm aquas, like BL Poole. Army greens look great with it as well, as do most colors with a little bit of grey or dustiness to them. And any shade of blue.
I’m just gonna say that MViB is not a single soulmate kind of polish- Basically it’s polyamorous because it looks good with everything.
lananasse asked: Soooo I know you've already answered this question but I can't find it... I'm looking for good off white nail polishes and I know you have like a trillion of them. So which ones would you recommend ? I'm seriously considering OPI My vampire is buff.
That’s my favorite!!! You should definitely get it, because it’s perfect. There are imitators, and I’ve tried a lot of them, but none have usurped MViB’s throne yet!
I am alive! Sorry I’ve been MIA this past week- just started a new job so I’ve been super busy getting the training done and doing nothing but sleeping by the time I get home because I am weak haha. The wonderful warm temps called for a new spring palette and I love this one! 2 cute 4 u
