Can you tell ready for spring? This is done using all @butterlondon polishes because I have a serious problem. I know i still need to do a tutorial on the ring finger design but I think the one on my pinky finger is gonna be a new staple for me. It’s insanely easy to do!

'SCUSE ME

It’s been brought to my attention that a few of you have been making comments on a video by PackaPunchPolish lately, accusing her of stealing one of my designs. While I appreciate the sentiment, her design is CLEARLY different from the one she’s being accused of copying. I won’t go through all the ways it’s different, but the point is, unless somebody is just blatantly copying a design of mine and selling it as their own, please don’t be rude to them!

I never, and I repeat, NEVER, want people to be mean to others for my sake. Even when somebody is doing me a perceived wrong, I don’t want you guys to be mean. If I think I need to take action, I will, but you guys don’t need to protect me. I honestly appreciate that some of you care enough to do that for me, but there’s already enough nastiness out there in the world. I don’t want people adding to it in my name.

So, to repeat, I love you, but chill out.

~~MUAH~~

(also check out Sam’s video because it’s really pretty and she makes great designs okay now)

St Patricks day is a holiday I just can’t find it in myself to care about at all. Maybe it’s that I’m the one white American with no Irish heritage or that I’m not a big drinker but I just don’t caaaaaare. These are still fun nails though! Used the same technique as my last mani, this time with Essie Shake your $$ maker and white stripes between each coat.

What are jellies like?

They’re basically intentionally sheer cremes! A good jelly should be able to be worn either sheer or opaque without any streakiness. I like them because I think once they’re opaque they have a lot more depth than polishes that are opaque in one coat or two!

four coats? it must have been really sheer woah

It’s definitely a true jelly, but I definitely could have gotten away with three coats. I just love the depth that fourth coat gives it! Also the formula is really lovely and thin and dries quick so it wasn’t much of a hassle.

(gosh I am really pushing this polish on you I need to CALM DOWN)

I have a dilemma when it comes to royal blue nail polish. It’s probably my favorite color, but that means I wear a lot of blue clothing, and I’m horribly opposed to having matching nails and outfits. Today I just sucked it up and painted my nails blue though because gosh darnit I like having blue nails! Also racing stripes and jelly polishes are fun. This is four coats of Essie Butler it’s me, with a white stripe down the center after the second coat.

Vaguely ikat inspired? Let’s be honest, mostly I just like painting lots of tiny lines. It’s delicate and therapeutic all in one!

ellyjay asked: hi! a couple of weeks ago you did a grey nail with green bottoms. i was wondering what the green was called? its exactly the colour I've been looking for! thanks, elly :)

Do you mean these nails? The green is called Over the Top, from the Sephora Formula X collection! It’s so gorgeous and perfect for spring, I like it much more than mint green because it doesn’t make my hands go all lobstery!
