Mr.Candiipants

I have very little to say about this. I wanted to do an ikat (mostly because I had no idea of what else to do) but I wanted to add a little more texture to it than there usually is. I used that new saran wrap technique on the base color, so it looks all cool and crinkly and stuff, aaaand yeah. boom. nails.

All I knew when doing my nails today was that I wanted a grey base. When I couldn’t figure out any new cool design to do with that (that wouldn’t take me a ridiculous amount of time) I went ahead with an old favorite, IKAT! I really love the color combination of these nails- not terribly springy, but it actually reminds me a lot of fire-y colors, so I do like that. Maybe I can pretend these are Hunger Games nails?

SO these nails are inspired by THIS manicure from Lucky magazine. It’s one that some of you might recognize, as it was floating around tumblr a few months ago. It started as just a photo of the nails (which are supah cute obviously) and a promise that HEY GURLZZ wanna know how to do this ADORBZZ mani?? We’ll have a tutorial up soon, CUM CHECK IT OUTT LUVVV YEWW. 

Yeah well that was some bullshit. They’re nail stickers/wraps/decals/whatever. Needless to say, I was not happy. SOO, I’m going to do a REAL mofuckin’ tutorial on them sometime in the near(ish) future. No promises on when it’ll be, but it will tell you how to do this design with actual PAINT. WOAH. 

But yeah. I like it : )
